Vancouver Island is 460 kilometers long (285 miles) and ranges from 50 to 130 kilometers wide (30 to 80 miles) and anywhere that you go on Vancouver Island, you will find skiing, snowboarding, hiking, boating, swimming, kayaking, fishing and of course, lots of golf.

The central Vancouver Island region, mainly Parksville and Qualicum Beach and areas have the best family friendly beaches according to Better Homes and Gardens. The Globe & Mail called us ‘Canada’s Riviera’. We call this incredible central area of Vancouver Island ‘Oceanside’.

In Oceanside, we have many more reasons to visit, play and live here. There are 18 parks, 7 golf courses and several wildlife refuges including the amazing Parrot World. Oceanside is also your gateway to many other incredible destinations on Vancouver Island which are easily drivable in one day. You will never tire of things to do in Oceanside!

Yes, its true Real Estate sales are up and average sale prices are showing a slight increase for February 2010 over January 2010 but are still below last year at the same time. We are still a lot lower than 2008 statistics. However units reported sold of single family homes are up by 56% over the same time last year and for the last 12 months to date are up 35%. So you can see the increase of volume is up and I believe that this trend will continue well into the summer months.
